Ship Of Gold In The Deep Blue Sea
by Gary Kinder
 (8/12/2001)
Ship of Gold has been advertised as a thriller similar to Into Thin Air and Perfect Storm. Having read all three, I enjoyed Ship of Gold far more than the other two. As Kinder states on the final page it is a story of two frontiers--the gold rush of 1849 and deep sea discovery. The book's protagonist, Tommy Thompson, makes the story a most compelling read. Great writing from Gary Kinder.

I had read Longitude and Latitude, also The Perfect Storm. Each time I thought it could not be topped but I do say this book Ship of Gold was fabulous from begining to end. If you have read either of the other books I mention you must read this book.

A great and astonishing book. The best "what-if" book if seen since "Fatherland". A must for every reader who wants to spend an amazing time with a perfect book. A page turner in its best.
Relationship Rescue: A Seven Step Strategy for Reconnecting with Your Partner
by Dr Phillip McGraw

After having failed all my intimate relationships over the past several years, I met someone that I knew I didn't want to fail. I read "Relationship Rescue" before the relationship ever needed rescued, or so I thought.
Through Dr. McGraw's no nonsense plan of action, I realized that I was already subconsciously sabotaging our relationship. I learned how to turn it back around to be as good as it was when we had that first spark between us.
This book is very motivating, empowering, inspirational and captivating.
I highly recommend this book to all couples, regardless of the current health of their relationship. I am telling everyone about what Dr. McGraw has done for me and look forward to reading "Life Strategies" next!
Thanks Dr. Phil!!!

I do marriage and family counseling. For couples experiencing problems, I insist they read Dr. McGraw's book. If they are unwilling to read it, then I am unwilling to work with them. For those who take the book seriously, it has been a great help. I only wish Dr. McGraw had been around 40 years ago when we were being taught the "non-directive" approach!

The most passionate book Julie has written. I love when she writes about Scotland and the clans. I thought about the book at work and couldn't wait to get home to read it. I have every Julie Garwood novel and I wish she would write more often!

This is truly a great read. I was compelled to turn each page to see what happened next. I would venture to say this is one of her best. The characters are strong and very likeable. You cheer the heroism and reel with every new plot twist. Thank you for the splendid entertainment.

This is one of her best, though I doubt anyone can top all of her writing. I have enjoyed her every since I found her. You laugh, you cry and you root for the heroine. Great work, Julie, keep up the good work.

Rainbow Six

Rainbow Six is the best book ever by Tom Clancy. Both John Clark and Domingo "Ding" Chavez are well-introduced commandos. One can only hope that they decide to turn this book into a movie, or at least come out with a book for the follow-up game of Rainbow Six, "Rogue Spear."

I was in the bookstore one day and Rainbow Six was the newest novel there. I have read all of the other Clancy books before so I decided to buy it. The few first pages hooked me in and I couldn't stop reading. In conclusion I think this is Clancy's best novel yet.

I was greatly disappointed by this novel, particularly by his portrayal of environmentalists as villains. Hardly. Dow, Monsanto, Mobil, and others continue to market products that approach Nerve gas in toxicity, and then discard their by-products. I cannot recommend this book.
Quite A Year For Plums
by Bailey White

I mainly want to thank Bailey White for writing this wonderful book. My roots are in middle Georgia, and I felt like I had stumbled upon old friends from a time and a life that now seems lost to me in Atlanta.
I listened to Bailey's reading of the novel four times, and the last tape probably another five. I had these other books-on-tape to listen to, but every time I started one, I just decided I'd rather hear Bailey telling me about those wonderful, dear people one more time.

At 47 I was out of control. My blood sugar was 256 and I weighted 318 lbs. My doctor recommended I read this book and 2 months later my blood sugar is 143 and I weight 273 and still loosing and not feeling hungry. In fact I have more energy than I have had in ages. It is written so you can understand what is happening in your body and why. I have recommended this book to everyone who asks.

Ever since I turned 30, I have been fighting the "Battle of the Bulge". I have gone up and down with my weight and, my blood pressure seems to go up as my weight goes up. I have tried various diets and have even been to courses on weight management. I have never been able to get and maintain the results I want. So, I thought I'd give the Eades' plan a try. Being a health professional, the theory sounded plausible to me. Well, I have been amazed at the results. I have lost weight and reduced my blood pressure in a short period of time, eating things that seem intuitively should make you gain weight. Plus, I feel better than I have in a long time (that is after the first days of the diet). I am thrilled.

My wife and I began this program 6 weeks ago. We have lost 21 and 24 pounds, respectively. I had a lot of skepticism, but the book answered most of my questions. I really enjoy eating, so the ability to eat meats, fish, and nuts was a big plus for me. I recommend this book and this diet strongly, though I urge people to consult with their doctor before starting, and periodically throughout the process.

I bought the Protein Power plan about 10 months ago. I have been trying to get the e-mail address for Michael or Mary Eades with no luck. I went on the protein power plan and gained 30 lbs. On my first attempt the second time I gained 25 lbs. Ii now weigh 350 lbs. and sure like to get a hold of the Eades so maybe I can find out what I m doing wrong. Thank you, I sure hope this gets through to them.

Good book. I nearly killed myself trying to be a vegetarian for 5 years. Many things went "click, click" as I read about the need for red meat. Wish there had been more about the results of feeding animals steroids & antibiotics. However, I do take exception to the advice on soy products. Read "Are Soy Products Dangerous?" at http://www.gerson.org/soy.html.
