Managing Expectations: A Memoir in Essays
by Minnie Driver
As Good as I Expected (11/5/2023)
The best thing about this book was, of course, the writing. I'm guessing this lady could write about almost anything and make it sound funny, interesting, poignant and worth knowing. The worst thing about this book was the ending. All too soon it came to an end and my short shared journey with this highly intelligent, witty, imperfect yet keen to learn life explorer was over. It doesn't start at the beginning and end in the present, but captures pivotal episodes in Minnie Driver's life without commentary, excuse or any request for approval. A quick visit to the World Wide Web will join the dots. Thank you Minnie, for sharing with me what has been a pleasure to read about. More please.
