Klara and the Sun
by Kazuo Ishiguro
Hmm.. (12/22/2023)
Please forgive me if I make any mistakes since English is not my first language. My dad has known Ishiguro, so I’d expect much from him.
I bought this book, Klara and the Sun because I am currently waiting for another book I ordered online.
I read it multiple times, but it is STILL boring! Honestly. Ishiguro can do much better. The writing is mid. I could do better with my toes. And even in Japanese the book is still (excuse my language) ass. It is so confusing. The only good thing is, it’s an abnormal topic and there is a good will in this book, and it seems creative. I have even tried to take my time with this book, and process it slowly. Still bad. He won the Nobel Prize? He surely has done better than this book, and the content and plot seems too rushed. Other people may enjoy this since: mysteries, Klara, characters and the will or plot. I personally do not enjoy this book and every time I read a word I can feel my knowledge of writing decrease.. It physically hurts me for some reason?? It’s like my ability to write is being cut.. Slowly and slowly, and it hurts as I mentioned? Literally? Summary:
If you are a beginner to books but loveeee mysteries buy this book. If you expect a rich and well written story throw this book away immediately. I did not like it personally. Very slow and confusing.
Thank you for reading this happy reading. Kenji
