The Dream Hotel: A Novel

Dystopian Dream World (12/26/2024)
Frightening and grim tale of a future that pretty much has total control over someone, including her dreams..The entire time I was reading this, I felt enshrouded in grey. Interesting concept
Everything We Never Knew: A Novel
by Julianne Hough
Someone Else's Journey (7/17/2024)
I felt this was more "chick-lit" than I anticipated. All about a woman's journey once she discovers people's energy fields and her own self discoveries. A little too much "hooey" for me but at least I finished it. Characters seemed just a little flattened.
Half a Cup of Sand and Sky
by Nadine Bjursten
Portrait of a Revolution (2/26/2024)
Good sense of Iran in the 1970s and henceforth from the perspective of an intelligent young woman. Reveals much about the country I knew nothing about..ie: the roses..A good read..I did find a little lag throughout but worth reading
Bad Animals: A Novel
by Sarah Braunstein
The Human Condition (1/16/2024)
A good solid read. What I liked best about this novel is that the characters showed human flaws, vulnerabilities and weaknesses...the writer succeeded in giving me plausible people.
Mercury Pictures Presents: A Novel
by Anthony Marra
Drifting away...... (8/29/2023)
In spite of all the accolades, I simply could not enter the realm of this book in spite of my efforts..The first quarter held my imagination but then I kept drifting off and losing all interest in the men's stories...I tried, I really did but had to close it halfway and give up.
The Wren, the Wren: A Novel
by Anne Enright
A Poetic Novel (7/27/2023)
The Wren, The Wren is a poetical saga about three women and the husband, father and grandfather who shaped their lives. This was beautifully written as Enright is an incredibly gifted author. I found the style to be a little unique as it is non-linear in the course ofmore
