I just finished listening to the tape and found it to be a wonderful book. I couldn't wait to finish it and then was sad that it was finished! This author is destined to be great.
Finding Fish

As a social worker, this book immediately caught my attention. I wanted to read it to understand what goes through the mind of a foster child, and what drives them to either fail or succeed. Mr. Fisher captured both ends of the spectrum in his remarkable book, with his observations of his foster siblings and his own insight into his problems. The book re-inspired me to always talk with "my kids" about their choices, their future, and most importantly what is going on in their foster home placements. I highly recommend this book to anyone who works with children.
False Memory

False Memory is one of the best Dean Koontz books. It takes you down a road and twists into a deep plot that no one could predict. I am an avid reader and this is one of the best books I have ever experienced. You will not be able to put it down because the characters become a part of your life. It deals with how easily a mind can be manipulated and how simply someone can control you without your knowledge. It does get a little grisly but is perfect for conveying real truths. Koontz ties in a number of modern, current issues and people which only enhances the realisticness of it. I highly recommend this book.

Ella Enchanted is an amazing fantasy story. I could picture each scene as I read and just couldn't put the book down. The prince and Ella's father's appearances weren't thoroughly described, so I had difficulty picturing them. I definitely admire Ella's courageousness and cleverness. I read this book continuously and keep wishing that the book was longer. It parallels to Cinderella near the end. On a rating scale from 1(poor)-10(great), Ella Enchanted deserves a 20!

I read Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. It's about a girl who has been cursed from a fairy named Lucinda. Now that Ella is all grown up, she must obey every word a person tells her to do. Even though the command is mean like killing an person, she still must do it.

This book helped guide me through my life and taught me special important things that I will never forget. It was exciting seeing Ella live through her problems and solve them. She's seems so strong and love it how she believes in herself. I think everyone should do that like she did.

Ella Enchanted is my all time favorite book. It is thrilling, imaginative, and easily related to. The only problem I had with it though was that I couldn't really picture Prince Charmont. But, I think the main reason I love this book is that I can easily relate to Ella and her world.

I think that Ella Enchanted is the most wonderful, interesting and enjoyable book I have ever read. It is like the Cinderella story only with more details and anticipation. I love this book and read it frequently.

I thought it was amazing since my favorite tale is Cinderella. There was only one thing that bothered me and it was that I couldn't picture what the prince looked like. It was an unusual look she described. But other than that it was very good. Very creative and she reminded me of myself which is probably why I related to it.

Easy Prey
by John Sandford

Sandford is among the best at police procedural mysteries, but he tries too hard in this one. A couple of people get murdered at a drug-infested glam party and during the investigation by the ever-dogged Lucas Davenport, more questions than answers pop up as suspects meet their untimely demises & other unfortunate circumstances. But the premise really isn't that interesting in the first place, and it was hard to complete the book. Lucas is likeable, however, and Sandford knows how to get into his head. The usual snappy dialogue is there too. But this one is for die-hard Sandford fans only.
Dune: House Atreides
by Brian Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson

I thought that this novel sets the scene to Dune very well and that the characters seem to portray the story and the history of the rest of the Dune novels in every realistic setting , This is a well deserved prequel and sets the context of the Dune series in which I am proud to say that I own this copy . If you have read the rest of the Dune series then you would have to agree that the characters in this novel tend to follow on from the original Dune book in particular Thufir Hawat and that he hasn't changed other than the fact he might be younger i think? However the only bone that i have to pick is why isn't Gurney Halleck in this prequel maybe he isn't born yet , But in the first novel he remembers the old Duke Pualus strange that he is not in this novel , Well hopefully he would be in the next novel House Harkonen
Driving Over Lemons: An Optimist in Andalucia

I was offered the book to read from both my mother and mother in law when I suddenly announced I was going to move to Spain. Being a "dealer" myself not in sheep but in Furniture and commercial vehicles I felt akin with Chris's Plight at the Auction. Best book since Gorky Park.

This book should not be missed. I confess I am not much more than a 'buy a book when travelling' type of reader, but even so that still means half a dozen books a year or so.
I felt I was there I could see the hills, the olive trees, the bridge, the river, the sheep, and now I really want to meet Domingo. I could taste the food smell the wines. I take my hat off to Mr Chris Stewart for producing a book that is to date the most enjoyable book I have ever read.

About three weeks ago I went to visit a friend and couldn't believe the amount of weight he'd lost since I'd seen him last, I asked him how he'd done it and over coffee he told me about this amazing Doctor and his book, Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution. I had a loan of the book, started the next day on the diet and have lost 11 pound in 3 weeks and I feel fantastic. I have since purchased the book and eating my way to a much healthier and happier me. Thankyou Dr Atkins.

Very simply, I lost 40 pounds in 4 months (59 in total), my cholesterol went from 268 to 209 in a year and a half, my triglicerides went from 282 to 82. The most valuable lesson I learned from my experience is that discipline is the answer to ALL of life's challenges - from diet to career success to family life...just fill in the blank. The diet is only difficult if you cheat and try to convince yourself that you are somehow missing something. Hats off to Dr. A!

I tried this diet in the 70's and lost a great amount of weight in a short period of time and found it to be the easiest diet to follow, again I have read the book, and am excited to say that I am already losing the weight I gained over the last few years! I have a wedding to attend in May, the bride and I are both on this diet and I know we are both going to be knockouts thanks to Dr.Atkins! Try it, you have nothing to lose but the weight!
