Girl Falling: A Novel
by Hayley Scrivenor
girl falling (10/1/2024)
Was not a book I would recommend... did not like the coincidences of her dentist being Mags' uncle or that the man from the fall kept reappearing. I did not find it "heart wrenching" nor a "police procedural" as mentioned in the reviews. Nor did I think it was much of a thriller. I did like the way it was written between present and before. And I did like the characters. Although the ending was a surprise, I didn't think it was much of a twist.
Delicate Condition
by Danielle Valentine
delicate condition (7/24/2023)
The idea for the book was intriguing, but the book was too lengthy. Too many painful incidents caused them to lose their intended impact. I saw no reason for references to women from previous years...only added to the length and didn't add anything. I thought the final gathering was hokey, but I did like the way the book ended.
Exiles: Aaron Falk Mystery #3
by Jane Harper
Exiles (8/14/2022)
I am a fan of Jane Harpers books and this one did not disappoint. She did a fine job of characterization even though there were quite a few characters. The story was intriguing, however, I thought it was a bit too long. I loved the ending, and I never expected it. I would highly recommend this book.
The Fields: A Novel
by Erin Young
The Fields (10/25/2021)
Although I thought it was pretty good, I wouldn't recommend it to others. I did like the Riley/Logan team. I might read another book with that team as the main characters.

I also found it a bit hard to keep up with all the suspected killers. And there were just too many bad guys in black SUVs.
