Irene Best book I've ever read in my life. It made me laugh, it made me cry and I wanted to read it again from the start as soon as I finished it. Congratulations, Frank. What an achievement!!! I also loved the sequel, 'Tis'. It fulfilled all my expectations. Could anyone provide me with Frank Mc Court's e-mail address, or postal address. Please write more books Frankie...don't stop there.
Jean You know it's a good book when you can put yourself into the author's position, feel and understand his pain, and be so afraid what's going to happen to him next that you're afraid to turn the page to find out what does happen to him.
Torill Angela's Ashes is a fantastic book which gets a grip on you from the very first pages. You'll get so close to the narrator that you'll feel a loss when the book ends. I'm really looking forward to the sequel.
Izzy Ok so this book was good, excellent in places; it combined dire circumstances which incurred a great deal of sympathy, with often hysterical wit. It was ruined however by the blockbuster movie which, in isolation, was tolerable but hardly comparable to the original novel.
Anna Being a Limerick person this book brought back fond memories. The accuracy of this story is refreshing and the humour in which this story is told is great. Looking forward to reading more of this author's novels if they all are like this one. They are a must to read.. great book.. have now read it several times, always puts a smile on my face.
John Fitzgerald Pears work is a classic of mystery not only for the four sided view of a single event, but also for the mystery within the mystery that some readers will miss. For days after finishing the book, I was nagged by a lingering sense that I had not yet discovered all the passageways inside this labyrinth. When the full story finally formed in my mind, I was flushed with the excitement for a type of storytelling that I thought had not survived 19th century England.
We learn the origin of the title deep into the story; wonderfully, there is a second "fingerpost" that the author has placed for the reader alone to discover.
Of course, I do not expose the hidden, yet revealed gem in this review. This is up to the reader to find and savor.
Sarah Cowan The novel Amy and Isabelle was beautiful in the sense that it portrayed life as it is, not as we hope and imagine it to be. It reveals truth and reality in such a way that we can relate as the readers. Its message clarifies life's truth-that there is not always a blissfully happy ending to every situation. The novel shows the mistakes of man, and that the mistakes change lives and relationships forever. Man suffers and learns about life through mistakes, as Amy and Isabelle do. However Amy bored me at times and I often pitied her. The book did leave me with a lot of unanswered questions, about Amy's fate with her biological family.
All Too Human: A Political Education
by George Stephanopoulos

Carol Dixon This fascinating, well written book gives a scary insight to the Clinton White House. Stephanopoulos does a pretty fair job presenting the foibles and virtues of everyone involved. It's a valuable first hand account.
All Too Human: A Political Education
by George Stephanopoulos

Jennifer Jackson What a fabulous book! I thought Stephanopoulos' honest look at himself and Washington politics was fascinating and insightful. I had a difficult time putting this one down!! Great read.
Mike Hicks The greatest thing a book can do is make us think. All Over But the Shoutin' made me think - made me laugh - made me cry. I grew up in the same valleys as Rick Bragg, and the painful song he sings in his book will soon be forgotten if not for the work of authors like him. Sadly beautiful best describes the book.
Stacy Rick Bragg's book was exceptional. The words just seemed to lift from the page and involve you in it so much that you felt like a member of the family. He allowed you to relate to his experiences and also feel a little sorry for him at the same time. The way he reaches out to you, the reader, is like no other. The effects of his story will draw you to tears.
Jamie Rick Bragg made me realize that not all people have it easy. His memoir made a strong impact on my life. I now realize that many people go through difficult times...it makes me grateful for everything that I have
Air Warriors: The Inside Story of the Making of a Navy Pilot
by Douglas C. Waller
(7/15/2001)
Marc Resnick A terrific book! I actually got nauseous during a dog-fight chapter! Mr. Waller has shown me how demanding and dangerous it is to become a Navy Pilot.
J. Nelson I just finished this book and just like all of his book it was a masterpiece. I have all of E. Lynn Harris books and I am going to stay in this weekend and finished the collection. His story seem so real and you are able to identify and feel for the characters. I hope that Basil can some day find love and peace. I can't wait to meet this author in person one and tell him that I am his one fan and will buy everything he writes.
Jo Ann Patterson I went to work and read Abide with me all day long! I didn't talk or eat lunch until I finish that book. Mr. Harris is the best! I didn't do any work but I got pay for reading the best book this year.
Levar Braxton As with all of his books, Mr. Harris did a wonderful job capturing the lives of ordinary people with extraordinary spirits. Admittedly, when I picked up the first book in his series, I thought I would be overwhelmed by the homosexual relationships, but I found it went much deeper than sex and relationships and explored intimacies and secretes we all hide. I would recommend any of Mr. Harris's book with high regard.
Lita Ward I am currently in the middle of this book and cannot put it down! Mr. Harris has done it again; captivating human experiences, emotions, sexuality and relationships! Great work!
A'Nya Lewis The book Abide With Me by author E Lynn Harris was beyond captivating. It was a story of love, defeat, and success. The book is a must read. It may be a little shocking to less open minded people but it is definitely a great book.
