So much hype...
There is so much going for this book. I read it for an English class and when finished I didn't get anything out of it.
You know the story. Self centered man gets un-self centered after a wise man talks to him about life. Except here the man is dying.
The writing quality is that of a young man, high school age. I can understand why he wants the 'simple' feeling to his writing, but it doesn't work.
Another thing that drove me crazy is that Morrie repeated the same thing over and over. "Love is all you need...""Love is the most important thing ever..." Everybody's probably heard that before. You don't need a dying man to tell you.
So, all in all, not life changing. It was a quick read, and I'm glad to be finished with it.
In my opinon, this book is completely over rated. Although I didn't dislike it completely, and the author did have some good ideas to share with the world, I found the book boring and shallow. It was a good story, but poorly written. Especially after all I had heard about it, I expected it to be so much more heartwarming than it actually was. It was an okay book, but I would not nessicarily reccomend it to anyone.

The Worst Book Ever
I hate this book so much. It’s cheap and self congratulatory, Mitch seems stuck up and annoying and I wonder how Morrie and his family put up with him for so long. Very predictable and absolutely nothing I haven’t heard before. The perspective of an old dying man who has accepted his death is nothing ground breaking. “Enjoy life while you’re alive” yeah obviously. Half of the stories Mitch tells about Morrie were probably fabricated by Mitch anyway to make him seem more perfect. Being alive myself makes me sadder than reading this pseudo life advice.

Everyone says that Tuesdays with Morrie is a fantastic read, but this is a grave overstatement. It was only 200 pages and it felt like forever reading it. I knew the book would suck when on the first page it had a list of lives changed from this book, and you could say I'm one of them - I will never read another book by Mitch Album. This book was predictable and preachy; needless to say THIS BOOK SUCKS.

This book made me vomit
Tuesdays with Morrie was just another one of those "feel good" novels written to inspire. It did everything but inspire me. I didn't get anything out of this book at all. There was no basis for Morrie's little lesson... they were all mere opinion.
Anyways, poorly written book. Read if you want a laugh.
