This book is the most compelling book I have ever read. I have struggled with an eating disorder for over three years and I can identify with his thoughts on addiction and being out of control. I recommend this book to anyone. I could not put it down and after I finished I wanted to know more about James Frey and all he has been doing since he left the clinic.

This is the most absorbing, moving, touching and real book I have read--maybe ever! The way James' experience of life changes as his time in the treatment center goes by is inspiring. I want everyone to read this book!!!

I absolutely loved this book. James Frey is a truly amazing person. I laughed while reading, and I cried. I have lent this book to some friends, who loved it just as much as I did. I found it truly heart wrenching, and even when i finished the book, it still remains in my mind. I love that this book was so honest, and that James did not hold back about the experience. I love that he was so real about just how hard each day was and probably is.

Excellent book!!! I bought this book for someone close to me who is battling drug addiction. They loved the book and will be checking into a treatment facility shortly. Thank you for being so candid and real about your experiences.

I am 13 years old. This is the most amazing book i've ever read. i have never been through any of what Frey has been through yet i relate and understand this book 100'/. and i cried like a baby at the end. Anyone reading this book must find themselves immediatly falling in love with Frey and the other people at the clinic. I have heard about the effects of drug abuse but never in such a detailed and graphic acount such as Frey's. I know its an adult book but i think it is a vital book for all young people because it would put anyone off drugs.
It is such a sad book, yet hopegiving and reasuring. Although i would like to know, did James ever contact John's wife like he said he would?
If there is a James Frey fanclub please tell me because i will join. I LOVE JAMES FREY!!!

I am a writer myself and an avid reader - this book is one of the most amazing works I have ever read. Ever. Really. James came in town a few months ago and I had every intention of going to see him although I had yet to read A Million Little Pieces - but I never made it there. Now I'm kicking myself! It's beautiful and honest and real and haunting - far beyond what most books end up being. This is one of those rare books that will sneak into my mind for many years to come.

I think this book is a must read for every person, it is about facing up to yourself and being accountable for your actions. I think James is wonderful.
