i jus got down reading the book last night and i loved it!!!! obviously Paolini tries to lead us in one way and then out of no where the reallly truth comes out and it turnes out we r all wrong i think he tricked us all to believing that Eragon and Murtagh r half brothers but i think so to but i still think that he wants to lead us down that path so he can full us he is very smart no better yet A GENIUS!!!! well if u think i am wrong tlk to me! lata BYE!

I would just like to point out to all of the people who think Eragon is a rip-off of Aragorn, consider this: the name Eragon is the word dragon with one letter subsituted, which happens to be right next to it in the alaphabet. Also, I believe that the reason this book is recieving so much attention as a great work of fantasy literature is not so much to do with the plot, but the way the story is written and "shown" to us. It captivates from the moment you open the first page, and doesn't let go (for me at least) even after you finish reading it. I am 14, and I read this book in roughly 24 hours, including school and what not. I would highly reccomend this book to anyone with even a remote interest in fantasy of any kind, and am anxiously awaiting the sequel.

This was the best book I have ever read, and believe me I have read a lot of books. I cant wait till Eldest comes out. I cant wait. It's so hard to be patient when you know a great book is coming out so long from now!!!!

As a reader of much fantasy novels, I found this book to be great. The character was well drawn out, and it kept me guessing. When ever I wanted to put down the book to do something else, like sleep. I would put it down for a few seconds, and immediately find myself reading it 5 minutes later, as if there were a chain pulling me towards the book. Enjoy this epic novel.

This book is truely incredible. The vastness and complexity of the plot is beyond words. I first saw this book at a local booksale, but didn't have the money to purchase it. Then I made it my mission to go to all the local libraries to finally read this fantastic novel. None had it. It was another month before my school libray got a copy and was free to take out. I have read roughly 20-40 Science Fiction and Fantsy books and this blows them all out of th water. I even went so far as to create my own website on this book.
