Good stuff. Great job for his age. I dont really read books much but this one was a gift for christmas> When i started it i thought that the prologue seemed decent and that the book would be a good read. That turned out to be an understatement. The book was great and i couldnt out it down. My hats off to you Paolini.

I read the book Eragon after receiving it for Christmas. This book was excellent!!! After I started reading it I could not put it down. It was filled with adventure that kept you guessing the entire time. The way Paolini wrote the book, made you feel that you were standing there next to the characters. I have been looking everywhere including the official website for the book, www.alagaesia.com for more details on the next book Eldest and when it will come out. I liked Eragon so much I presented it for my 10th grade English report and my teacher then asked to read it. I am 15 and absolutley loved this book.

Eragon was prably the BEST fiction book i have ever read. i'm so incredbly excited to read the next book, Eldest. i am a huge fantasy and fiction lover and of all the books i've read, which is a lot, Eragon has definately been my #1 favorite book in the world to me and i really hope that Eldest is just as good. :)

This book was fantabolicious!!! It totally knocked my socks off! I absolutely love fantasy and this book was exactly the kind of book I was looking for to escape in over the holidays, too bad it only took me a day to read, huh?! The plot, setting, characters, everything was essentially perfect to me, because after trying to understand the LOTR book trilogy, (and failing) I could actually get this awesomely similar, easier to understand version. The only thing wrong with this book was that it wasn't all in one book and now I have to wait for the next two books to come out... Besides being perplexed at how young Christopher Paolini was when he wrote the book, (my age), I am still amazed at how "professional" it seems. I was so excited when I finished reading the book I even went to my local public library and looked for Eldest only to be embarrassed and disheartened when my local public library librarian told it hadn't even been written yet. Wow, I thought writing this would vent some of my excitement but it didn't, maybe I should just go read again, and again, and again...;)!!!

I really loved this book! I think it is harsh to give the book anything lower than a five no matter what the grammer, language, whatever, is like. I don't read books to get an English lesson, I read them to enjoy myself and get lost in a new world, witch is exactly what Paolini created. The story is incredible and easy to get lost in, and being close to the age Eragon is, i am able to relate, and understand that the things he does are truly amazing. Eragon was amazing and i can't wait for Eldest to come out!

I am 19 years old and a perpetual fantasy fan. Although I've not read many fantasy books per se, I am always dreaming up fictional worlds in my mind. Eragon is an amazingly well written piece of fiction. Being the same age as the author, I take comfort that it is possible for someone my age to produce such an incredible work. Christopher Paolini's characters are well developed. In reading the book, I feel myself maturing with each of the characters. I feel pain or happiness depending on the circumstances the characters encounter. With Paolini, I feel enveloped in a world more beautiful, more magical, and far more dramatic than my own. I escape my world of scholastic demands, household chores, and interpersonal relationships by delving deep into Alagaesia. Paolini's plot is gripping; the pages turn almost of their own accord, willing me to continue. I await with fierce anticipation for Eldest, the next book in the trilogy.

Highly recommended! I read it for a college Childrens Literature course, and couldn't put it down. Suprising, the first book was really fast paced and really packed with adventure. Usually you won't find that in the first of a trilogy. Anyone who enjoys fantasy, will enjoy this book. Very Impressed.
