Hi guys
I kindda like it
Dave
I really enjoyed Eragon. I thought it had nice action, empathetic characters, and a gripping storyline. I commend C.P. because he started this when he was only 15 years old. The only reason I didn't give this book a five is because C.P. just basically copied races and creatures from other books (i.e. Shades, dwarves, and elves). I still think its a fun action-packed novel that is really impressive for a 15 yr old.

I love this book! Its one of the best I have ever read. One problem is Eragon sitnks at sparing and after like two weeks he is really good. There are a few more minor bad parts but could you (other readers that don't like this book) do better? I think any age will enjoy it (I'm 11). Its much easier than LOTR and is easy to understand. I love the cool battles, environments, and characters. If you think he copied Anne MCaffery's Dragon RIders of Pern, if you look on the back of "Eragon" She says that she loves this book and wants more. I know I've writen lots of fantsy books and have used simalar names to the ones in LOTR. This is awesome he acually got this pulished when hes only 19. Congradulations Christopher Paolini!
This book rocks! I highly recomend it.

I realy enjoyed this book because of the emotion in it, e.g. when Brom died, his feelings for Arya ect. however i have to admit that to many good things happen, for instance at trodjenhiem when Durza slahed his back with the blade, shouldn' he have died or at least not have been able to get up and stab Durza through the heart? I also think that when the Ra'zac caught him and Brom wasn't it a little too convenient having Murtagh apear and come to the rescue?
Appart from the too many good things happening i think this is an exelent novel and an exelnt first etempt, keep up the good work Paolini.
Other recomendations: Alex Rider, Red wall, Artimous Fowl, Harry Poter and Lord of the Rings.

This is a truly good book. But there is one thing I dislike about it as well. I could always make an obvious connection to either Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, and, in some spots, even Terry Goodkind's lesser-known Sword of Truth series. I did enjoy reading it, in fact, I'm reading it again right now (I first got it at Christmas and read it, then lent it to my friends). When I first got the book, I never stopped reading it. This second time around, though, I can't get into it... and I normally have no problem with reading books five times or more. So kudos to Paolini for getting a book published at such a young age, but needs a bit of work.

This is a very good book. It is not a "5" IMHO, but then I give very few 5's. The most amazing thing is that the author is only a teenager himself - an amazing work given that fact. Definately will be waiting for the sequel...

I started reading this book after Christmas and you will read this book right now!!! This is one of the best books I have read for a while and I am an experienced reader of fantasy. Why? Because this book has a good plot, and invents an entirely new system of magic that differs from most fantasy/swords and sorcery books I have read. Also, the main character seems real. He has a personality. Unlike some other main characters that just have to go and find the magical artifact that will save the world blah, blah, blah, he actually has dreams and hopes. Great book! Now I must go read it again!

I thought this book was really good in its plot and overall a really good read.. Two points bring it down- 1. It is influenced by Lord of the Rings and other books abit too much eg. aragorn=eragon etc. 2. You can tell whats going to happen, Eragon and Mutagh are half brothers and brom is Eragon's dad after having affair behind Morzan's(Murtagh's dad) back with selena who was mutagh's mum....I'll come back and say "look I was right!!" if i'm right about that. This is a really good book!!! Remember a good writer who knows all the techniques about how to create fear or how to make readers feel close to a character still couldn't write a good book without Imagination!! Readers dont look at how authors write things but at the plot and if its interesting. A good book is something which proffessors think has all the right desriptions and techniques... a good read however is what a reader finds interesting and exicting to read.
