This book was one of the best i've ever read. It caught my attention from page one and it was hard to put down again.
Beautifully written and i'm sure anyone who read this book will find a message that speaks very closely to their heart.
I thoroughly enjoyed!

As Coelho himself tells "the subject is over exploited"-which makes the novel a bit un interesting before we start itself. Definitely far below The Alchemist in terms of "innovativeness" of the ideas. Most of the plots are those which you can expect from a novel which deals with "prostitute" as a main character.

Eleven minutes- Tries to explore the threads which attach (or not attach) Love, Sex, Commitment, Affection, Fear, and Fate(!!?). Altogether an above average novel due to his conscious efforts to make the subject to be 'dealt differently' (It makes the novel a bit artificial too).

Worth a reading!!

Very superficial and predictable. Not in the class of The Alchemist

This among one of the best books i've read.it forced me to think quite a bit, prostitution which is viewed as a taboo worldwide has been given a whole new definition by the author.I have deep respect for the central character Maria & was able to feel what she felt.A must read....
