This book was amazing! It opens your eyes to different things in different countries. It is amazing with the vivid detail. I can not imagine going through what Lakshmi did. She is a great character!!!! :-) love this book

Revolution/Pioneer
I believe the author of this pure book has guts. Obviously, she wrote this kind of story and is a pioneer, for others who never had the gut to write kinds of "sold", and feared critics review. I'm glad someone just had enough courage to make deal about what is happening in the world where others were just blind of. Therefore, this receives 5 out of 5.

This book was one of the best books I have read this year, it grabbed me from the first page. I could feel Lakshmi's pain all the way through this heart gripping story, I think what made this book so emotional for me is that I know this does happen, and it's not just made up which is awful to think about but I'm hoping more and more reader's will read this and try to make a difference in the world, over all WONDERFUL read.

I am 14 years old when i read this book and I can honestly say it it is life changing. This book makes you really think about how life is at the moment some where else in this world and how fortunate you are to be able to walk around and not be told what you can and can't do. This really changed the way I think, and made me realize some people don't live so fortunate and free at all. You're an amazing author and I want to thank you for informing people about things like this. You are good.

When I first saw this novel in the high school library I just grabbed it an started reading it. I was familiar with the the story and I found it really interesting and heart-touching because a thirteen year old innocent girl was being sold and I was moved by her life story. I want to make a film based on her life story. In future after completing my studies I will hopefully work on this film.

This novel is an excellent and brilliant masterpiece of the author and I would like to praise her for such a fabulous work she has done. Thnx for writing this novel.
