I want to be a social worker and this book confirmed that its what I want to do

After having read all three books, you no longer feel any sorrow, sympathy or saddness but a sense of pride and joy, because you realize that as bad as life is sometimes, there are always good things that come out of it too. This book gives the reader to discover that for themselves. It is truly one of the best books I have read in a long time.

I think everone suffers the hardship of life in different ways than others, and it is when you read about someone else's life, you can begin to put your own life into perspective and realize the most important things in life.

Dave- if you are reading this, I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you for the inspiration I got from your books and also for allowing me to ' enter into your world' for a few days( I read all three books in three days!).

I am only twenty years of age but your books have already taught me so much.

Thank-you once again and good-luck!

This book was very sad but it kept you in suspense the whole time. I think it was one of the best written and most intersting books out there.

Dear Dave,

This book was so inspiring to me! I have grown up being abused for a good percentage of my life, and I couldn't see myslef getting through it. Then I read you're book and realized that even though things happen in your life that will tear you down, you always need to pull yourself back up. I have learned that when I am older I will make something of myself, and I won't let my problems slow me down. Thank you for being my hero.

Thank you Dave

Thank you, so much Dave, for builing up the courage to write this book. It has showed me what to look for in children who may have been beaten. It is sick to imagine that someone could treat there child the way your mother did. Throughout the first book, I wanted so badly to meet your mother and ask her why. I can only imagine the way you felt when you were so little, and I appologize that nobody could see it in you what was going on. In reading your books I have also decided to make a career move to Social Services. I would love to be able to help kids out like yourself, and make them happy.

Again, thank you Dave for your courage and your fight for life
