I think that everyone should get a chance to read this and all three of his books, to the sequel of "A Child Called It." I'm only 12 and it was very hard for me to read those books. I dont know how a mother could do that to her own flesh and blood. And I'm so happy for Dave that he has moved on without HATING his mother and father. Great Job and keep it up!!:):)

My daughter bought Dave's first book and read every page. This is the first time I had ever seen her read an entire book since her first day of kindergarden.
Since then we have purchased all of his books and read them with great intrust.
He has encouraged my daughter to help others in need and has been voulenteering for special events put on by the school. This is a first for her.
On May 13th,2002 my daughter will be putting on a display at her High School in regards to Dave's books and child abuse as well as adult abuse.
This has opened the eyes of many of her peers.
My daughter has changed her life around because of Dave and I truly Thak him for this.
Thank You Dave Pelzer for your story and have a wonderful life.

Sincerly, Brenda Vessey

This Book is awsome from the minute i picked up the first book "A Child Called It" i never wanted to put it down it took me about two weeks to finish the first book thats it. Right after i read the first one i wanted to get the the rest of the series so i could see what it like to be abused. I am so sorry for you I wish that would have never happend. You have enspired me to keep reading. I think that you were in good spirits when you desided to right them. I feal that we should know exactly what other children go threw. Since i am a child of the age of 15 I right now in my life i feel that my life is the worst life ever. But then i read your books and then i relize that my life isnt actually that bad when i come to think of it. Thank You so much David.

I really liked this book and all of the others you have wrttien because i think that everyone should understand the pain and suffering gone through by a parent or parents beating on them and treating them like they dont fit in life and they are useless. Dave keep up the positive thinking.
