I'm 12 years old and I loved the book so have read all three and recommended them to my school to buy and they did and all my friends are now enjoying them.

After finishing the First book of Dave Pelzer. I knew I have to read the second book, The Lost Boy. From the begining to the end.
After reading this book, I thought too myself.. how on earth can a mother do this to her own son. It made me have hatred, not only that but while I am reading this novel, I could visualize and hear the sound of all the words go through my head.. like it's a movie but only reading it. I am really happy that David surive. I love this book.

I am planning too read the next two books of Dave Pelzer. I really want to find out more about his life and growing up!!
I really would suggest people too read this. I bet whoever begins to read this would have a deep thought about it latter!!!

Really good book to read!
Sue from Kentucky

This is one of the best books I have ever read. Some of the things Dave experienced hit home as my husband was in different children's homes for 4 years of his life. So not only was I crying for Dave but also for my husband and the feeling of hopelessness he felt those 4 years. But as Dave turned out to be a hero so is my husband! It is the most heart touching book that I can relate to.
Fatima

This is the most emotional and only book that I have read where I actually cried for all the things this young boy had to experience. I treasure and love my children more each day after having read this book, He had the courage to survive even though he thought that God had forgotten about him.
He somehow also would have forgiven his mother for all the evil things she did to him, when he thought she was able to change and love him again.
This is a really good book and it makes me feel like giving this man a big hug and to let him know that even though we haven't met, to let him know how much he's being loved by reading his story.
Angelica Arreola from Pomona

This book was really touching I cried through the whole book. But he had the courage to survive through everything and he did he was determined to beat her. This book brought me to reality because I am glad to have loving parents, a house, somewhere to sleep at and it reminde me that all the things that happened to him really do happen. This book is really good other people should go out and buy it and read it. I will always love this book and I hope other people will read this book.

THIS BOOK IE REALLY GOOD!!!!iLOVED IT!!!!
