Very Moving
This book is a wonderful and very emotional book. This book is very emotional. All the way through the book I felt as if I could just be in the book and take the main character David and the author to safety and freedom away from his alcoholic and abusive mother. I felt sorry for him. He has to do things to earn food and everything and none of his other brothers are beaten just him. It's a very moving book and I recoomend anyone 13 and up read this book.

survival
This book is increddibly amazing. The things he had to put up with the terror he had to go through was unbelievable. My mom read this book and gave it to me to read and i thought it would probably be just a normal old story about child abuse. But when i read it it touched me like it was actually happening to me and it inferrieated me that someone could do that to their child and have no regrets. Dave Pelzer you are great at writing and i am sorry for what you had to go threw.

You'll be in his shoes at the first page.
This book is compelling and sad. You'll never be able to put it down. My friend told me about it, and he was completely correct! It's an emotional book and it will place you into his shoes. You'll feel his pain and begin to think what you would do if you were him. I read it in two days, and couldn't wait to get the next book. Read this book...you WON'T be sorry!!

Unbelievable
This book grabbed my attention from the start! I even gave the book to my friends to read it. I also told the story in English Class. She has to be the worst mother ever to put her own child through that! This book is one the the best books I have ever read in my life!
