I would rate Girl, Interrupted higher than 5 but I can't...but I would honestly rate it over 100. It was an amazing book. I, myself have borderline and trying to recover. I have went through some of the same things Susanna faced, and some she hasn't.I wish that I could write her a letter expressing how I feel! All and all, amazing. She wanted to be a writer, and she got her wish. Just goes to show you, that even in tough times you can over come obsticals and achieve anything. I will read it again and again!

Girl, interupted is a wonderful, interseting, funny, meaningful and superb book. It has meaning and purpose and should be enjoyed by all. Susanna Kysen has a brilliant, inspiring story to tell of 18 months of her life in mental institution, her experiences, friendships, highs and lows should be told and told again. This is a truly good book. Read it!

I think the book is excellent. I have read it 8 times now and I will continue to read it. I find myself in Sussanas thoughts & her words like there coming out of my mouth!Lisa is also a very good, strong character who I greatly adore.

Susanna Kaysen should pride herself on writing from personal experience as she is a magnificent Author, to be able to draw from herself the way she does is ureal.
Lisa is my favorite character and this immulated into the movie when the gorgeous and distinctive Angelins Jolie played the role - no one could have done it any better - no one. (although I am biased as she is a goddess). Lisa's anamosity and confronting demeanor allows her to be straight forward when dealing with the outside world and the 'keepers' of the Institution. Lisa really depicts what a physcological state is like (as she is living it). Love it, Love it, Love it. Love her. Lisa is the epitome of '60's stratergies for dealing with her problems she is facing. Janet is great also - Oh lordy pick a bale of cotton, oh lordy pick a bale of hay. This is still a stand out feature of both medias. Again well done to you Susanna and bring on some more!

I absolutly loved the book Girl, Interrupted. My favorite character is Lisa and Janet, I love Lisa because she is strong and a lot like me because we both tell people what we think about them to their face and are not compassionate for anybody, even though Janet has an eating dissorder i like her because she is cool and if i met her she sounds like a good friend. I love this book so much because its entertaining and i love depressing books. If someone didn't like this book the seriously are crazy. The first time i read Girl, Interrupted i could barely put it down. It has so much depth its words literally drown you into them. I have read this book and found it interesting as well as motivating. As I have gone through the same situations as Susanna Kaysen, and I have found that I can relate to her very well. I enjoyed the book extremely much. The movie that was based on the book was my all time favorite so I decided to give the book a chance. The first day I purchased the book I found myself not being able to put it down. I finished it within the day I got it, and have read it many times since. I recommend this book to everyone! It's very interesting, riveting, and it explores things that many people know very little on. have not yet read Girl, Interrupted, but I have seen the movie. I do understand that when a book is made into a movie it can be very different from the original book itself. Although the movie is about Susanna Kaysen, to me the most interesting character is Daisy Randone. I think it is tragic that her life ended at such a young age. I am sure her story would be just as interesting as Susanna's was. I think this is a very heart-warming, tragic, and yet still enthralling movie (and book I am sure) that will capture the hearts of many. Along with Daisy, all of the characters are interesting in their own way. When I say this, I think I am speaking for anyone who has read the book or seen the movie, Their is a very big "Thank You" that should go out to Susanna Kaysen for being generous to tell her heart-warming tale to the world. It really shows you that you can find your self and good friends in the places you least expected. So, Susanna Kaysen, thank you very much for sharing your story.
