Joan

What??
This book is confusing. I don’t like the way it jumps from time to time and characters to characters. The descriptions are beautiful but interfere with the pace of the plot. The German names and place names were not helpful in chapter two, so early in the story. I did not finish reading the book.

Not worth the time
The professional reviews of this book were on the mark. It is a meandering, off putting long winded saga that I wished would end. The decades changed, the characters were difficult to keep straight, and the sentences were so long that you forgot the topic by the time you got to the end. It needed editing!
