Nostalgic and evocative
For every Vietnamese immigrant, this book is hauntingly nostalgic. It’s exceptionally written. The narrative is raw, real and relatable. I became quite emotional at times reflecting on my personal experiences and the roots from where I’ve come. This is one of my favourite books ever read.
