It is so very difficult to put into words just how extremely brilliant H.P. is! This book combines the magic and fantasy of Hogwarts with the real growing pains of any 14 year old. And the gut-wrenchingly emotional paragraphs at the end which bring me literally to tears everytime I read it. To say I was hooked to these books would be an understatement, my life practically depends on them!

I think all the Harry Potter books are great and I recommend them to absolutely anyone. They keep you completely hooked, this one in particular. It's long, but it's worth it in the end and one warning to anyone who is going to read it: Start early in the day because you won't be able to take your eyes of it!

this book is very creative it has alot of detail and creativity. Its really long I know its the first book that took me a day and a half to read. Nothing can beat J.K Rowling's books that's what I think.

I walked into the library (WOW!). And I saw a book with a cool cover. I read the title. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. I read the first page. By the time my dad said I had to go, I was at the 2nd chapter a drooling on it was so good. I've read and re-read every book. THANK YOU J.K.

I have read the entire Harry Potter books series, and have found every single one of them to be interesting, unique, and fun. After reading opposing articles criticizing J.K. Rowlings I have to say that I don't agree that her books are immoral or damaging to children. These books allow children to use their imaginations, and seems to be igniting a flame in kids' minds giving them the desire to want to read. I am a Christian and find these books to be just fun reading. It is obvious that they are just fiction novels meant to entertain. The book also sneaks morals into the story using Hermione as a character who disapproves of not following the rules. The main characters develop valuable friendships and defeat obstacles. Rowlings novels bring back the good versus evil theme. And for a change makes the readers hope that the good side wins.

Usually books in a series get worse as they go on but this is the exception. This was the best book in the series so far. I couldn't help wondering though, whether Ms. Rowling could stop making the books so predictable. Twists such as Sirius Black turning out to be Harry's godfather made the third one of the best.
