1-People should not care what anyone else thinks of them
2-Even people that are different have feelings
3-Everyone is equal
4-always do what you believe in

Stargirl is one of the most true and magical books I have ever read. It really keeps you interested. Stargirl is good for anybody to read, but I think it has a magical way with people who find themselves in her character. Everyone who reads it will want to be more like her and will understand her heartbreaking situation. It is a must read for everybody. Thank You Jerry Spinelli, for letting people understand that being popular isn't everything. You can have a thousand friends and still be lonely and empty inside. You can have two friends and be the happiest person possible. So once again thank you for writing this book and I hope all of you out there decide to pick up "STARGIRL" by Jerry Spinelli very soon, and find yourselves among the pages of this beautiful, heartwarming story of a teenage girl and her quest to become popular and to find out..... what she really wants.

I loved the book STARGIRL! I think it was good to see how people treated her just because she was different. It shows you how Leo and Stargirl felt and how other people must feel when they are different. The book, I think , tells you everyone has feelings and no matter what they look like or how they act they should be treated with the same respect as everyone else. The book has a great lesson in it and I think everyone should read it. I am a sixth grader and as I get older people will go off into there own groups because they think other people are different. They will make fun of those peole with no regard to how those people will feel. I have a friend that is different. She has spina bifada and people have made fun of her since we were really little. They have no idea how that makes her feel. What they say makes them the bad person and they dont even know what she has to go through. She really doesnt need the extra hurt. I think if the people who make fun of her would read this book they would have at least a little more respect for her.

I love Stargirl! I thin that Stargirl is a wonderfull celebration of nonconformity. This oftentimes tense and emotional story explores the fleeting, cruel nature of popularity and the thrill and inspiration of first love.
At school we had to introduce one bokk to the class and the teacher. We got marks for this work and it was no question that I chose Stargirl. I got the best mark and only because of this excellent book!
