Very touching, very real, very true. An excellent book for anyone, it will make you laugh, cry, think, reconsider...... It's a must.

Really one of the best new books i`ve read in years. So touching, so warm, so human. Tony Parsons makes tumble all the books (so many n these days) concerning the difference between the two sex. You should read it if you love life, or begining to learn to love. Life or anything in it. Your unborn child. This book is like the story of my closest friend,you don`t read it, you listen to Parsons` human voice, thing so rare in those days. Forget everything and dive into it. You won`t regret it. You`ll never forget it. Excellent!

This has to be the best book I have read in a long time. It explores many difficult topics while not being too heavy by introducing humour. Having read his second- 'One for my Baby', i do however feel it may have been a one off success.Shame.-Rachel

Well, I'm actually reading it and not finishing it yet. But, so far... I really enjoy reading it page by page. And lessons I could get from this book? A LOT!!! It's not only about relationship but also family issues. Matters that everybody faces in carrier life is even brought up here...and don't forget to mention the honesty theme in living the life.

I even discuss it with my boyfriend especially thing about commitment in relationship. It really inspires me not only to bless every joy i already had in life but also motivates me to keep everything on the right track! Especially maintaining of what we have to people we really care about...

Realistic, witty, though a bit bitter. No heppy end, but that's life! Very good. Better than Nick Hornby.

The book didn't live up to the standards that i was hearing about. but there were some suprises instore. i think the reviews somewhat mislead the reader into thinking the story is about one thing and you go on to find complex issues within it. it is alot like Fight Club, i wonder how many people went to see it for the title and not for the story. it was alot like that. i think the suprises were well recieved, and the harsh realities about single motherhood is dealt with well and the way men are also seen in an unbiased way are also suprising. you would think that the book would be biased toward males, making them the better off characters in the book, since the author is male and the title is 'male' but the women are seen fairly and are well represented, they are also the characters who have alot of control in the book. this is a great book for people who want to raise awareness about the issue of single parenthood and also those who might find themselves in a situation to learn about how others deal with their problems. although most of the dilemas are Harry's and revolve around Harry, he gives a good account about everything.

Not gritty enough to be really interesting or really funny. Most of the issues are skimmed over but a good, quick holiday read.
