True Crime Story
I confess I was confused from the moment I picked up the book and saw 'a novel' under the title. I read a lot of books (about 100) a year and I've never felt as manipulated as I did by this author.
The writing style is interesting, the format easy to read, the twists and turns engaging enough to keep going. However, I was as perplexed at the end as I was throughout the entire book. I constantly had to remind myself 'this is fiction'! Because of this, I guess it's a good book and has accomplished what the author intended.
I totally missed the hilarity hinted at in the book's description, instead finding themore

The struggle is real…
When I heard what the book True Crime Story A Novel by Joseph Knox was about I thought that it sounded like a very interesting concept. A work of fiction that is presented in a way that makes it seem as if it is true crime. Unfortunately this book fell flat for me. I am not sure if it was the style of writing which was going back and forth between characters with quotes from their individual interviews. It could have been that there is nothing that any of these characters said was even remotely interesting, I really pushed myself to finish this book. I was hoping that the end would make it all worth while. I ammore

Too long and boring
I don’t know why this author wrote this book in this format. Transcripts by different students who just met? The plot is flimsy with not much substance and repetitious. Not one of these characters is likable and I cared about none of them. It a very boring book. I kept reading because I was reviewing. I did skip ahead. I can’t recommend this book; even the ending fell flat.
