Mrs. Plansky's Revenge
"Mrs. Planksy's Revenge" is a delightful book, a nice combination of mystery, humor, and a little romance. Mrs. Plansky is a 71-year-old widow living a comfortable, if lonely, life. When Mrs. Planksy falls victim to cybercrime, she refuses to be a victim. Instead, she sets out on an international adventure to regain her fortune and her dignity. As an older reader, I appreciated that the protagonist/heroine was 70 years old. The characters in the story are well-developed and memorable. The story does serve as a cautionary tale about the dangers of cybercrime. I immediately changed all my passwords! While in the mystery genre, "Mrs. Plansky's Revenge" has enough action to keep you turning the pages, but it is not too dark or intense. This is a great book for a vacation read or a fun, light read for a book club.

Revenge is Sweet
As a senior citizen I enjoy reading books about other mature adults who don't let age limit their lives. That certainly happens in this book and the story of Mrs. Plansky's adventure kept me engaged. It is a light and fun story about a serious and tough issue - internet fraud. Maybe at times it was a bit too light and fun as the subject matter can have devastating effects on the elderly. The ending was a bit too perfect and the writing a bit complicated (I often had to re-read sentences to figure out what was being said). However I'm glad I read the book and will recommend it to people who want a book about contemporary challenges that leave one feeling hopeful.

Don't mess with Mrs. P
What a delightful read! Fun to see a protagonist my age. And such an appropriate premise of the book. Nice to see the backstory of the current scam perpetrated on older folks. Maybe some insights for those of us who think it couldn't happen to us.
A short book that would be fun to discuss. "What do you think you would do in her shoes?" Can't imagine the outcome in the book is a very common, but was satisfying. Would recommend the book to anyone who wants a fun read with a bit of suspense.

Mrs. Plansky's Revenge
This book was very well written, I thoroughly enjoyed the author's style. Plot and characters' were fully developed and kept you interested. This book would especially appeal to middle aged to more senior women as the main character is an empowered older woman that you can't help but root for. I look forward to future books in the series.

COURAGEOUS/HUMOROUS
I enjoyed this little book. I am adding it to the summer reads at our library. I loved the fierceness of Mrs. Plansky, her look on life, how she handled all of her situations, family, love, even her tennis game. As I was reading this little novel, I kept thinking what a fun book to be made into a movie by Quentin Tarantino. I like dark humor and I think this would be a great "dark humor" film. But, just in case you don't care for Quentin Tarantino movies, don't worry the story of being taken advantage of at our age and how the story plays out is worth reading. I honestly, didn't put it down until I was done with the story. I would like another story about Mrs. Plansky and her adventures. Short, interesting, funny, dangerous.

Just Say No to Victumhood
You go Loretta! Mrs. Plansky in Mrs. Plansky's Revenge is a delightful character who is a testament that being in your 70's doesn't mean you are ripe for being played. In this likable story, we meet Loretta a bright, active widow, who in her 70"s, is still juggling care and support of a 90 parent, two middle aged children, and two grandchildren. When she is scammed out of most of her fortune, she takes matters into her own hands and there is where the adventure begins. Plucky and feisty, she is woman bent on justice and will do what it takes to right a wrong. Yet, she retains her kind heart and hopeful spirit. This is an enjoyable read, and if you are a fan of Quinn's Chet and Bernie series, you won't be disappointed. I see a possible sequel coming for Loretta Plansky! You go, girl!

Revenge is Sweet
Mrs. Plansky, a widow of six months, is settling in to a new condo, making new friends, and a new life. She longs to hear from her children and she can afford to be generous to them and to her father in assisted living. Both children and father expect no less. Is she generous to a fault? When a problem arises Mrs. Plansky rises to meet the challenge with wit, wisdom, and an indomitable spirit. If revenge is sweet, Mrs. Plansky and the reader are in for an interesting adventure. A great read for book clubs and and gift for women of "a certain age".

Mrs. Plansky's Revenge
Years ago I read the Mrs. Polifax mysteries by Dorothy Gilman--believe there were over a dozen. And I loved them. Mrs. Plansky seems to be following in the earlier series footsteps. Both widowed and charming ladies who seem to find themselves in ever increasing dangerous situations. And both capable of performing bravely in these circumstances. I enjoyed this frothy read but found myself constantly remembering Mrs. Polifax' adventures as well. I have to add that if there is another Mrs. Plansky in the pipeline, I would read it!
