A charming story
A charming story of a talk show problem solver who invites four unknown troubled guests to join her in a trip to Italy which she originally planned as a 25th anniversary surprise with her husband. However when she surprises him, he surprises her in return by moving out hoping to reevaluate their marriage.
This is a well written easy to follow story of the 5 character and their joint and individual attempts to work on their issues and relationships while in a small B&B in Italy.

It reminds me a little of The Enchanted April which was also set in Italy though in the 1920s.

Delightful
Phaedra Patrick's The Little Italian Hotel is a delightful novel about love, unlikely friendships and the slow process of mending broken hearts. I especially enjoyed the characters, who were quirky but likable. If the plot seemed a bit predictable at times, that, for me, was a good thing. I found the ending, which could have gone one of two ways, satisfying. But, perhaps the best thing about this novel was the setting. Who can resist the lure of the Italian countryside? (This novel made me consider putting Italy on my Bucket List!) I will recommend The Little Italian Hotel to all of my reading friends.

The Indian little hotel
I enjoyed reading this book.because I could relate to Ginny's being completely blind sided by her husband. There are twists and unexpected revelations along the way. I believe there is no greater compliment to the author than to get lost in the story 's reality of the point of suspending my own.The hotel and Venice were also vivid characters wonderful description. The book production of Hotel Portofino came to mind as I was reading.

A good read!
Empathy, trust, Advice Angel…

“I’m listening. Tell me your worries” has been repeated numerous times by Ginny on her radio advice show for the last fifteen years.

But she has no answer or advice when shortly before their 25th anniversary, her husband announces he wants a divorce. He has no intention of traveling with Ginny to Italy on the surprise anniversary trip she booked. On the spur of the moment, she offers four radio listeners the chance to travel to Italy with her. Each selected listener , ranging in age from 27-80, has some type of heartbreak in their life.

Hopefully, this trip will be a healing process and offer self-discovery to each.

I liked the one-word description at the beginning of each chapter . Each word was a clue to something within the chapter. I try to choose 3 words that describe a book at the beginning of each of my reviews!

Another winner from this author! I’ve read 3 books so far by this author.

A book about self-discovery, friendship, relationships, and second chances.

Liked the cast of characters .

Author paints a vivid picture. Liked the setting.

Great summer read
An easy to read, entertaining, charming novel about love and friendship set in the backdrop of beautiful Italy (a favorite spot of mine).

A fun escape
A good beach read with interesting characters who go a healing vacation with strangers who become friends and help each other overcome their heartbreak.

Many unexpected twists from start to finish
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book about the lives of different people and how they all came together to help each other in ways they never expected. I don't think any of them expected or planned to find their new way of looking at their lives when they requested the almost free trip to Italy.

A great read and almost a self-help fiction to help you decide to explore different ideas to create a different outcome to future visions for yourself..

The Little Italian Hotel
Ginny Splinter was determined to spend the vacation she had planned to celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary in Italy, even though her husband told her he couldn’t take the time off from work and wanted a divorce. She found four other people who were also dealing with a form of heartache to go with her, and they all found friendship and healing in that little Italian hotel. This is a lovely book, and I enjoyed it very much.
