This is a top notch medical thriller. Think of Robin Cook and John Grisham put together. It's exciting reading- one of those books you don't want to put down! The author is a surgeon so he knows what he is writing about. Yes, there is "blood and guts" but if you like to read about hospitals and mysterious murders, this is the book for you.

If I had one comment or caution to make, it would be that the first-time author included too much for one book. Perhaps he is hoping to write a series and use the different "threads of the story" in the next books. I will look for him to see if there is a next one. Book Clubs will love this book and also anyone who likes to watch the medical shows on TV.

For his first novel, I really enjoyed this medical thriller. Once started, I was unable to put it down. I don't think that his medical and technical knowledge was too much for the average reader. His writing flowed very well. I would recommend this novel for anyone interested in this genre. He may very well take over where Robin Cook leaves off.

Excellent medical thriller. It was gripping - a true page turner. It takes you to the world of hospitals and into the operating room. There are life and death decisions some being made by a possible sociopath. It involves a young surgeon whose patients are dying but why? I highly recommend this book and urge you to watch this young author. Kelly Parsons is going to be a star.

I could not put this book down. It was well written and the author wrote a captivating story. I have been a nurse for over 25 years and in my opinion the author portrayed a mostly accurate view of hospital life. The story was fast paced, and held my attention. I hope the author writes more books.

I found myself racing through the pages of this book. Dr. GG truly is an evil - and brilliant - psychopath. The protagonist doctor had an appalling dilemma on his hands – morally and medically. The story led you realistically through his plans and how he carried out his high-tech tactics to try to foil the psycho-doctor. I thought about the book when I wasn't reading it! I hope this author has great success with his future books because I will certainly be reading them! A "smart" and foreboding book; not only did I learn from this tale, I was thoroughly entertained You will tear through these pages -- Enjoy. Oh, yea... one more thing.... make sure you REALLY check out your physician's credentials in your real life. Even then..... it might not be enough to protect you....

A page turning read. The author is good about explaining medical jargon and computer applications. It makes one wonder if parts of this story haven't been reality, somewhere. His evaluation of doctor's personality traits are very accurate. Hope there is another book in the planning.

I really liked Doing Harm. It's a story about a surgeon, Steve Mitchell. He is known around the hospital as one of the "best"! Then- a patient dies. Steve gets caught up in a series of events that toss his whole life into turmoil! I liked that Steve is flawed. He isn't always likeable but I still rooted for him to get out of the mess someone is causing for him. I don't want to give the plot away but please know the book is exciting from start to finish.

"Doing Harm" was one of the best of its kind that I've read for a long while..and kept my interest from the beginning. The fact that the protagonist is a surgeon and much of the plot takes place in a hospital made the story even more exciting.
If you enjoyed "Gone Girl" or "Close My Eyes" or other such books this book is most certainly for you.
