About this book

Book Summary

With extraordinary access to the Trump White House, Michael Wolff tells the inside story of the most controversial presidency of our time.

The first nine months of Donald Trump's term were stormy, outrageous--and absolutely mesmerizing. Now, thanks to his deep access to the West Wing, bestselling author Michael Wolff tells the riveting story of how Trump launched a tenure as volatile and fiery as the man himself.

In this explosive book, Wolff provides a wealth of new details about the chaos in the Oval Office. Among the revelations:

  • What President Trump's staff really thinks of him.
  • What inspired Trump to claim he was wire-tapped by President Obama.
  • Why FBI director James Comey was really fired.
  • Why chief strategist Steve Bannon and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner couldn't be in the same room.
  • Who is really directing the Trump administration's strategy in the wake of Bannon's firing.
  • What the secret to communicating with Trump is.
  • What the Trump administration has in common with the movie The Producers.

Never before has a presidency so divided the American people. Brilliantly reported and astoundingly fresh, Michael Wolff's Fire and Fury shows us how and why Donald Trump has become the king of discord and disunion.

Media Reviews

"There are lots of arresting details in the book... But most of all, the book confirms what is already widely understood — not just that Trump is entirely unfit for the presidency, but that everyone around him knows it. One thread running through Fire and Fury is the way relatives, opportunists and officials try to manipulate and manage the president, and how they often fail." - Michelle Goldberg, The New York Times

"Make no mistake, Wolff's latest is a must-read. It pulls away whatever curtain still cloaks the Trump White House, leaving those who know Trump best to do the talking." - Lloyd Green, The Guardian

"...Wolff's lasting achievement here is not his headline-grabbing revelations but the skillful, enthralling, and utterly terrifying way he depicts the unqualified, unprepared, and downright unusual characters to be found wandering the halls of the White House in the first half of 2017 as well as their near bloodsport-level conflicts. Spicer was right. You really can't make this sh– up, though, long before the end, many readers will wish Fire and Fury could be filed under 'Fiction.' B+" - Clark Collis, Entertainment Weekly

American Fears Confirmed
Mr. Wolf's book consists of sentiments expressed by those working in the Trump White House. Most are fearful of Trump's wrath and unpredictable behavior. Donald T. is a narcissistic, irrational and mentally unhealthy individual.

This book confirms America's most dreaded fears. The USA is under rule of a dictator, paranoid, and sociopathic indiviudal.

My thoughts on this book
Like the 33,000 people on Goodreads who could resist reading this book? I can imagine that the Trump White House would allow Mr. Wolff access if, for no other reason than hubris, I can also imagine the outrage the Trump White House felt when the book published.

Trump is not the transformative figure that is going to move this country forward; I am saddened every day to read a newspaper, listen to a podcast, or read an article only to learn of the outlandish behavior of the 45th POTUS. The book, which might be considered gossip and remember not all gossip is false, has chronicled the disarray that has surrounded the White House since January 20, 2017.

More distortions than you can scram in a croker sack
Wolff is a dishonest manipulator. At best he is a scalawag who got very limited access and manufactured a book with no historical prospective or honest presentation of facts. But, he has written a liberals delight who don't care about the facts, just kill the opponent in accord with the guide for communist radicals.

Fire and Fury Author Michael Wolff
This book was a work of fiction and a waste of money. We are now 500 days into this administration and what has been written in this book has not come to fruition. The author is clearly scorned.
