Tracy Dahlby Biography

Tracy Dahlby, a former managing editor of Newsweek International, is an expert in the affairs of Asia, where he lived for thirteen years, and served as Tokyo bureau chief for the Washington Post and Newsweek. As a regular contributor to National Geographic magazine, he has written about major developments in Japan, Vietnam, and the South China Sea, as well as in Indonesia. The winner of major awards for print journalism and documentary filmmaking, Dahlby is currently the Director of the School of Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin.
