Nancy Zafris Biography

Nancy Zafris is an American novelist, and short story writer. Her works include Lucky Strike, Travel, After Lunch and The Metal Shredders, and a book of stories, The People I Know.

She is a winner of the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction, as well as the Ohioana Library Association Award. Her stories have appeared in numerous literary magazines and she is Fiction Editor of The Kenyon Review.

She is the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts grants and has taught at many universities, including Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic as a Fulbright Fellow.
