Joanna Ho Biography

Joanna Ho is the daughter of immigrants from Taiwan and China. is passionate about equity in books and education. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and received a BA in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master's from the Principal Leadership Institute at Berkeley.

Ho has lived in: Baltimore, Maryland; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Accra, Ghana; Taipei, Taiwan; and currently lives in the Bay Area, California. She has been an English teacher, a dean, and a teacher professional development mastermind. She is currently the vice principal of a high school in the San Francisco Bay Area. Homemade chocolate chip cookies, outdoor adventures, and dance parties with her kids make Joanna's eyes crinkle into crescent moons.
