On page 225 a stranger verbally harasses Jamie. Do you agree with how Jamie and Lou handled it, or do you think they risked making the man more upset and angry and possibly escalating the incident? Do you tend to fight back when challenged, or do you prefer to walk away?

Normally I would walk away from harassment from a stranger. There are some very strange people and I don't think you would want to take the chance of escalating the situation.

I'm not sure how I would have handled that verbal harassment at the mall. I tend to walk away from confrontation myself. However they had been victims of this abuse in a public place in front of the children. That man was a jerk. I would have herded up the kids and walked away.

I think Jamie & Lou handled the verbal harassment very well. Back in the day when I was younger, I'd have walked away trying to avoid any more confrontation but now that I'm older, I've gotten a lot more outspoken so I'd definitely stand my ground.

Lou and Jamie handled the stalking and harassment very well and if it had been me and my children I would have done the same thing!

Jamie and Lou handled the verbal harassment as best they could. I also tend to be the "peace at any price" girl so I completely see why this happened.

They handled it well but I tend to be impulsively stand my ground. This isn't always best.
