What did you think of the ending of the book?

I enjoyed the book but thought the ending was rather unbelievable. Sally and Noah seemed to ignore social media after their marriage, but how did they deal with the paparazzi? Did Noah give up his career? I have to admit I was very happy they ended up together.

The ending didn’t surprise me at all. It’s a romantic comedy, so of course they ended up together. I expected everything to be tied up in a nice package with a big bow and the novel didn’t disappoint.

As Elizabetta said, it is a romantic comedy, so the ending was totally expected.

I was happy that they ended up together and also included Jerry and Sugar in their lives in LA... I was happy with the tidy ending .

The ending was as expected - happy! It was a nice touch to include Jerry and Sugar.

The ending was expected, but I was surprised by how much COVID played a role in the plot from how they reconnected and also the gap in time from when they spoke last at Night Owls to the email exchange. It's the first time I've read a book that has COVID as part of the plot and I wasn't expecting that when I started reading the book.

How else would it end with the title giving it away--mostly romance, not so much comedy as just fun

The ending was exactly what I expected, and wanted. It was a romantic comedy, the ending should be the couple getting together and living happily every after - a lovely escape from real life.

I was very happy that Sally and Noah worked through their ‘issues’ together. Their quiet marriage was perfect for them. Also liked that Jerry and Sugar became permanent house members.

The ending was expected in a romance and that finally pulled the romance into the book.

While the ending was expected, it was still a wonderful way to end this book!

I liked the ending even though it was expected. I thought the way COVID played into the building of their relationship was realistic. In real life during this time I know people whose relationships accelerated. Unfortunately too much “togetherness” destroyed other relationships. It was a time when many people felt alone with or without a partner. We were the only ones in a 100 years living through this and it was scary.

Even though the ending was expected it was nice to read that Sally and Noah fell in love and married. It made me feel happy, too!

The book ended exactly the way I expected it to and I was not disappointed. I was delighted to see that Jerry and Sugar went to live with them. Perfection!
