Lark's sister Harlow is one of the main characters of Higgins's earlier novel A Little Ray of Sunshine. Which of the characters in Look at the Bright Side would you like to see star in a novel of their own?

Although Lorenzo is not a lovable character at all, I'd like to know more about him and what happens to him in the future. I like to think the experiences of dealing with Lark's honesty and the accident will make him a better person.

I think I would enjoy reading more about how Lark's and Dante's relationship grows. I do agree with Marcia S that it would also be interesting to see if Lorenzo can become a more likeable person. He was intriguing and I kept changing my mind about him throughout the book.

I also would like read more about Lark's and Dante's relationship--does grow or or not? Also Lorenzo has become a vital part of the novel. Bur also I would like to see Lark maturing her work as a non-emotional doctor that new character would be a former patient who Lark has helped and the patient feels grateful .

I would love to see Lorenzo find love. He's not a bad sort under the protective barriers. Plus I'd love to see more of Dante.

I would like to know more about Joy's story, mostly before her friendship with Ellie

Call me odd, but I would like to see Dr. Satan, aka Dr. Santini, have his moment in a story. He just seems to be totally miserable, but maybe he really isn’t.

Like several others have mentioned, it would be interesting to learn what becomes of Lorenzo. One would hope to see him evolve, assuming that he benefited from his interactions with Lark and especially with regards to the different perspective she provided about his family relations.

Joy is a character I would like to see again and know more about. Like others, Lorenzo is of interest, too.

I think there could be compelling stories crafted about both Lorenzo and Joy. It would be delightful to read about the next chapter(s) in Joy's journey. Not enough books are written that focus on "older" folks. Joy is 67 and has learned so much about herself, I'd love to see what she does with her new understanding and outlook.

I would like to see Lorenzo change and become a more normal person. And Joy's story might be a total laughfest.

I'm on the Lorenzo bandwagon for this one. A story that picks up a year or two later and lets us see how he might have grown professionally and personally would be something I would definitely read.
