This book was touching, humorous and thoughtful, bringing up many issues on many levels, bypassing the clichés of how men and women act and relate. The characters and the dialogue are so real they almost jump off the page in their human strength and weakness. This book is a winner.

Coast Road came as a wonderful surprise to me. I bought it as a "trash novel" to read at the airport. I finally read it giving birth to our third child (a boy), and discovered a novel where the relationships of husband/wife and parent/children and humanity/God (if you will via Faith) are strong and right and good rather than spineless and weak. Thank you.

I really loved this book. I loved the mystery in discovering "Faith" - so simple and pure yet such a powerful idea which lent much to the story. I am a romantic and was praying for Jack to see what he really had and could lose again if he didn't open his eyes. I read this in 2 days and was bitter-sweetly satisfied but then I had to go back and read more of Ms. Delinsky's work. Thank goodness she is prolific. I have another favorite author and Ms. Delinsky, if you read this may I get your autograph?

I think this book is a good book to read because you can just skip around in it and you don't have to read it in order. There are a lot of good stories in it about life, Friendship, Love and lots more. I really enjoy reading this book and I recommend it for kids who like to read short stories.

This book is a must read...even if you don't like to read! There are over 100 short stories that will touch your heart in some way or another. I laughed, I cried, I even read them out loud to friends and family. I had a hard time putting it down, and I can't wait until a College 2 is made! I highly recommend this to every student!

The premise for this novel seems out of sync initially. We are at a funeral, Billy is gone and can't defend himself from the memories others have of him. Chilling thought for the live reader. But, Billy was loved by many for different reasons. And Maeve, his wife, and Dennis, his best friend, help us to know him. I loved McDermott's characters. She made them real. She has such a gift for language and settings. I want to read through all her books now.

After all the hype and praise surrounding this novel, when I finally read it myself I found that my feelings resembled those of a deflated balloon. This book has been vastly overrated. It has little coherence or focus and the characters fail to excite your sympathy or imagination. Faulks begins by doing one thing, and ends up with quite another. The love story in the first half has no time to develop properly, so it ends up dissolving into the background. In the second half Faulks throws in the Holocaust to stir up some excitement, but he forgets that this tragic event and its implications cannot be bundled together in the last few pages of a novel. Towards the end he gets so desperate that he resorts to sentimental clichés to create some emotion - an old man who is ill and thinks his son has abandoned him, two small orphaned children... "Charlotte Gray" fails in every possible way. If you want to read a truly exceptional book about the Second World War, you should buy "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" instead.

Yet, as with Birdsong, having ruthlessly exposed the horrific inhumanity of man during times of conflict, Faulks shows us the sliver of light at the end of the tunnel, the hope which makes it all bearable. The images spinning off the pages of this book will live with you for a LONG time. Mr Faulks, you are a dangerous man.

I have read all of the "Prey" series and they are all excellent books. Certain Prey was one that I had difficulty putting down. The climatic ending was such a shock, it really is too bad that Lucas didn't get the killer in this one, maybe that means Clara Rinker will appear in another great "Prey" book.
Keep up the great writing Mr. Sandford. I'm always waiting for the next Lucas Davenport book.

I just finished "Carnal Innocence". I couldn't put it down. It was such a wonderfully written book, with plot twists even I didn't see coming. It was very emotional. Until the very end, I didn't know who had committed any of the murders. Very good read.

I read the book in 4 hours, could not stop reading it. I knew the instant I picked it up that this program, was different from all the other 'diet' books out there. Bill is amazing and delivers the info in an easy to understand way. He weeds through all the 'Miracle cures' and 'fads' and offers sound advice, motivation and information that will get anyone on the road to a better life. One part Richard Simmons and one part Tony Robbins, he inspired me at age 32 to lose 40 lbs of fat, while nearly doubling my strength.

This is a wonderful book. I found it to be very interesting and full of info. I have not yet started the program, but I know people that have and they have had tremendous results. I am really looking forward to getting started. I wish there was somewhere I could get more copies of the progress charts instead of having to photocopy. I anyone knows where I might can find them and print them please let me know.
