I have never heard about this book until last night. I am a Chinese girl and I don't know whether I can buy one in China. Actually I have been eager to have one from the time I saw the cover, which attracted me very much. It is a great book. I dare to say that even I haven't read it.

This book is great. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys an excellent read. It will appeal to all ages, my grandma is half way through the third one! I'm 12 and I loved all three, I've got the fourth one and I'm just about to start it. If anyone wants to email with reviews of the Harry Potter books my email address is Ih8mondays@holymacaroni.co.uk

I have to give you credit. This book is the only book that I really like reading. I am 14 years old. I really didn't like reading until Christmas of 1999. I received, as a gift, Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone. I saw how thick it was and I didn't want to read it, but I got bored one day and so I thought that I would pick it up. Let me tell you, when Picked it up, I didn't want to put it down. I loved it. Within one day I was already on chapter 13. I finished it the next day and went to buy the second and third year books. I thank you for writing this book. On last Saturday I went and bought the fourth year and I am now on chapter 25. I love these books. I really thank you Mrs. Rowling. Please, may I have your autograph? Love ya

I first heard about the Harry Potter books a couple of weeks ago, when book #4 came out. I decided to take a look at them because everyone was saying they were really good. After I had read the first chapter I was hooked I got through the philosophers stone, and the Chamber of secrets in TWO DAYS! I have been pleading with my parents to take me back to the book store so I can by the other two books! I need more Harry Potter! These books are amazing, and have touched the lives of so many children all over the country. Joanne Rowling should be proud of the character that she has created. This book is for anyone, from any age. I am 16 and I love the Harry Potter series. PLEASE WRITE MORE!!!!

At first I didn't like the idea of a Wizard at school, but when I started to read the book, I was transported to an amazing world filled with magic and adventure. By the end I was determined to read the second book in the series!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first Harry Potter book and I absolutely loved it. My brother brought it home for the holidays and I just couldn't put it down once I picked it up. I am 22 years old and an avid reader and this is the best book I have come across. I certainly know what I will be buying this pay day - Books 2 and 3 which cost $22 each here in Fiji. But it will be money well spent as J K Rowlings transports the child in all of us to a magical place!!

I love this book. I could read it over and over. I have recommended many people of all ages to read this book. Just because it is a children's book doesn't always mean that it is just for children.

I read the Harry Potter books three times in five months--My mother and sister wanted me to read to them because I kept telling them how wonderful the books are. My favorite thing to do now is to ask people who have read this book who their favorite character is. J. K. Rowling has done a wonderful job, and I'm sure the others will be just as spiffing.

If you want action packed adventure and broad display of imagination, you can read any book you can find. But if you want the best it's "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone". Read this book and you won't be able to stop, obsession is almost unavoidable. This won't be something you regret, it will be something you cherish and remember.

I thought that Harry Potter #1 was the best because then you met Harry and everything you needed to follow the rest of the story. And for all of the fantastic people. I have heard that she is coming out with a movie about Harry in the summer of either 2001 or 2002

The Harry Potter series are definitely on my list of books to read to my children which already includes Laurence Yep's Dragon of the Lost Sea series, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the Wrinkle in Time Series. Harry Potter is going down in history as a classic!

I loved the Harry Potter books, all three. Since reading the third one, I have been edging to get the 4th! Ms. Rowling is truly a wonderful author with a captivating imagination! I LOVE to read about Harry and his adventures, and hopefully someday I will be able to piece together a brilliant and delightful story like Ms. Rowling has done. I'm looking forward to reading the next 4 books in the series. From my perspective, Ms. Rowling is the greatest author :)
